These "Bugs in a Box" can be used in a classroom setting, but are formulated for a child to use either on their own or with some adult supervision. They are mainly composed of hands-on activities.
The objective of this "box" is to teach the two types of insect life cycles (complete and incomplete metamorphosis) and some basic anatomy. The objective of this "box" is to teach how to become a naturalist by observing insects in nature, captivity, and a collection. Students will learn how to collect and preserve insects, but also how to rear them.
